We value the work of organizations that are striving to find cures to diseases, help those in need, or provide any other type of altruistic service. So we created the CityAthletes Charitable Events Fundraising Program to help further the activities of these organizations. We are proud to contribute to these non-profit organizations by donating to local athletes that are participating in athletic events for good causes. How does it work? If you are an athlete who is taking part in a charitable training program, you can receive CityAthletes donations simply by referring friends, family, and co-workers to CityAthletes. For every person that you refer who registers as a CityAthletes All-Star Team Member, you will receive $10. That’s 40% of the sale price! Plus, you can take advantage of this offer yourself. When you purchase a CityAthletes All-Star Team Membership you will receive back 40% of your purchase in the form of a donation to your fundraising efforts. What is a CityAthletes All-Star Team Membership? Our All-Star Team Membership includes: a membership card entitling you to discounts of 10% to 70% off goods and services from over 85 local sports-related businesses and full access to the CityAthletes.com website. You can see the full list of businesses providing discounts on our Member Discounts Page. How can someone purchase a CityAthletes Membership? Everyone can visit our Registration Page to purchase a membership. How do I get credit for a referral? Just make sure that your referrals enter your information properly on their registration form. In the "How did you hear about us?" field of the form your referral must type in your name and the fundraising program like this: Your Name – Charitable Organization How do I combine this with the rest of the fundraising I’m doing? It’s quite simple. Since you will already be sending emails and letters and making phone calls, just mention CityAthletes at some point. For example, you can include a little P.S. at the bottom of your letter saying “By the way, CityAthletes is helping me fundraise too. For every person I refer to them, they donate $10 to my fundraising efforts. Please take a minute to purchase a CityAthletes All-Star Team Membership. You’ll get great discounts off of sports purchases and a $10 gift certificate and will be contributing to a great cause at the same time”. How do I know how much I have earned through referrals? Once you sign up, you can visit our Fundraising Progress Page to see how many of your referrals have purchased CityAthletes All-Star Team Membership and how much money you have earned. How and when do I receive the money I earned? Our program continues throughout the duration of your fundraising program. As soon as your training program begins, you can start making referrals and earning funds. We will cut one check for your total donation the week before the funds are due.
